Working to a photo brief

Working to a project brief

Shown below is a sample of a Photographic project brief that I have researched on the Internet. The brief shows a a typical brief that a photographer has to follow or work to, in order to produce a set of images required by a client

The brief is basically a set of instructions that the photographer has to work to to produce the final set of images for a client or customer

The main purpose of a photographic brief is for the client to outline their requirements and aims The first steps of a brief would be to sit down with the client and discuss their requirements, then to outline the costs, resources, time etc

The brief shoud be given a title and include all of the following

The steps to follow, the aim of the brief
An estimate of the resources needed
An estimate of time need to produce the images
An estimate of costs incurred to produce the images
An outline of legal and ethical considerations

Initially the client and I need will need to sit down and disuss the basic requirements of what the client needs. This would consist of their ideas, themes, locations, subject matter, models etc

Costs can vary considerably with the photographers time and this all depends on the kind of images required by the customer and resources needed to complete the work. Therefore a brief must be very specific to outline the customers requirements and attention drawn to potential escalating costs that the customer may incur

Shown below is a sample brief I have reserched fron the Net
